. Making things move, whether they like it or not.
Trunk is a multi-award winning animation production company creating projects for film, broadcast, commercials, music videos, interactive projects, tour visuals, and projections for live events.
As a company we have become known for our warmth and the ability to develop ideas within all manner of teams, creating both artistic projects with friends and associates, as well as producing internationally acclaimed marketing and branding campaigns for a whole host of different clients.
At heart, we are a group of passionate film makers driven by the challenge of taking stories and developing artistic styles and techniques to best tell them to an ever widening audience, and delivering them across a whole host of different media.
An animation studio is a company producing animated media. The broadest such companies conceive of products to produce, own the physical equipment for production, employ operators for that equipment, and hold a major stake in the sales or rentals of the media produced. They also own rights over merchandising and creative rights for characters created/held by the company, much like authors holding copyrights. In some early cases, they also held patent rights over methods of animation used in certain studios that were used for boosting productivity. Overall, they are business concerns and can function as such in legal terms.
Currently there are about 200 animation studios dedicated to the production and distribution of animated films that are active. They can be either actual production houses or corporate entities.
